Custom-shaped TZM Molybdenum Alloy Parts Boat made of molybdenum
1. Description of TZM Molybdenum Alloy
TZM, or titanium zirconium molybdenum, is a superalloy that is molybdenum-based, solid solution hardened, and particle reinforced. To achieve greater weldability, TZM (titanium zirconium molybdenum alloy) is used.
The molybdenum alloy TZM (titanium zirconium molybdenum alloy) contains molybdenum, 0.08% zirconium, and the remainder 0.02% carbon.
Titanium zirconium molybdenum alloy (TZM) has a higher recrystallization temperature, greater strength, harderness at both low and high temperatures, and good ductility than non-alloy molybdenum. Additionally, titanium zirconium molybdenum alloy, or TZM, can be treated due to its strong thermal conductivity, low vapor pressure, and good corrosion resistance.
The recrystallization temperature, heat resistance, and creep resistance of TZM (titanium zirconium molybdenum alloy) and other molybdenum alloys are higher than those of pure molybdenum.
2. Advantage of TZM Molybdenum Alloy
The TZM molybdenum alloy can be used in a wide range of applications due to its high melting point, high strength, high elastic modulus, small coefficient of linear expansion, low vapor pressure, good electrical and thermal conductivity, strong corrosion resistance, and good high temperature mechanical properties.
3. Fields of Use for TZM (titanium zirconium molybdenum alloy):
Furnaces for sintering, heat treating, and component isostatic pressing
Metal Rotary Anode for Medical Diagnostics
Process for annealing and sintering ships (heat up to 1400°C)
Tools for injection molding, for instance, hot runner nozzle molding
Die light alloy casting
Isothermal Forging of Billets
According to customer drawings, Shaanxi Peakrise Metal Co.,Ltd can process a variety of special-shaped processing parts, including molybdenum top heads, crucibles, boats, boxes, and material trays.
