For example, when molybdenum-tungsten alloy is used as electrode, nozzle and thimble parts in the bosh furnace for producing high melting point refractory ceramic fibers, its service life is significantly longer than that of products made of pure metal molybdenum. Molybdenum-tungsten alloys can also be used for gas rudders and guard plates of solid rocket motors due to their high melting point, good ablation resistance and good resistance to flame erosion of solid particles.As a transitional alloy between molybdenum and tungsten, molybdenum-tungsten alloy might be thought of. As a result, the alloy can be employed between molybdenum and tungsten across a wide temperature range.
