1. Silicon Molybdenum Rod Heating Element Description:

Molybdenum disilicide-based silicon molybdenum rod resistive heating element is a high temperature and oxidation-resistant resistance heating element.When used in a high temperature oxidizing atmosphere, like other Si-based high temperature resistant materials, a bright and dense quartz (SiO2) glass film will rapidly form on the surface of MoSi2 under high temperature and oxygen atmosphere, which can protect the inner layer of the silicon molybdenum rod from no longer is further oxidized, so the silicon molybdenum rod element has a unique high temperature oxidation resistance.

In an oxidizing atmosphere, the maximum operating temperature is about 1700 ℃, and the resistivity of MoSi2 increases rapidly with the increase of temperature. The old and new silicon molybdenum rod heating elements can be combined together because, in most cases, the element's resistance does not vary with time of use.

The silicon molybdenum rod electric heating element's service life depends on how the surface load of the heating element is chosen in relation to the structure, working environment, and temperature of the heating apparatus.

2. Heating element made of silicon molybdenum has both physical and chemical properties:

Water absorption: 0.5%

4. Application Of Silicon Molybdenum Rod Heating Element:

The silicon carbide rod is a non-metal electric heating element, which is made of high-purity green hexagonal silicon carbide as the main raw material, and is recrystallized at a high temperature of 2200 °C. The normal use temperature can reach 1450 °C. For use in air, no protective atmosphere is required. Applicable to all kinds of electric furnace electric kiln.

The silicon molybdenum rod has high oxidation resistance. Under the high temperature atmosphere, a dense quartz SIO2 protective layer is formed on the surface of the original to prevent the continued oxidation of MOSI2. Surface tension causes the SIO2 protective layer, which has a melting point of 1710 degrees, to melt when the element's temperature exceeds 1700 degrees. As a result, the SIO2 loses its protective properties and melts into droplets.The SIO2 protective layer regenerates when the element continues to be used in an oxidizing atmosphere.

Application of silicon carbide rod: Due to the high operating temperature of silicon carbide rod, it has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, fast heating, long lifespan, minimal temperature-related deformation, and simple installation and maintenance ,Has good chemical stability.
